The Eckes-Granini Group GmbH is the largest corporate group specialized in the production of fruit juice in Europe.
The Group offers fruit juices, fruit beverages, fruit syrups, smoothies and fruit-based refreshment drinks. Its brand portfolio includes, among other products, the international premium brands granini and Pago as well as a number of national and regional brands, such as hohes C in Germany, Austria, Hungary and Switzerland, Joker in France, YO in Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic.
The history of the Eckes-Granini Group began when he haulier and farmer Peter Eckes founded a distillery for wine by-products in 1857; his descendants complemented the existing business by spirits, grapevine oil. Inspired by the idea of introducing the American culture of orange juice consumption to Germany, the company began producing and marketing fruit juices in the 1920s.
Today, Eckes-Granini Group as a family-owned company operates mainly in Europe with its own national subsidiaries and strategic partners and generates annual sales of 873 million euros with a total of 1708 employees. The headquarters are located in Nieder-Olm in the Rhine-Hesse region.

As part of the program ‘Leading e-Commerce Expansion in an Omnichannel Setting’, our bluegain team worked with the Eckes Granini Group’s CDO Chaichana Sinthuaree, his team and the CEO Tim Berger and reached the following results:
1. bluegain analysed and assessed the Group’s E-Commerce business opportunities [stakeholders, products, channels] to build the business case for the digital headless commerce ecosystem on a solid foundation by working on the following modules:
- We performed an Integrated Channel Analysis & Assessment based on the Eckes-Granini Group Product Portfolio (current/ future),
- We assessed the availability/suitability of product portfolio
- We conducted Key Stakeholder Analysis from the Perspective of an “Eckes-Granini Group Virtual B2B e-Commerce Company”
- We also developed a multi-year investment case for digital headless commerce ecosystem – multi-year budget committment.
2. bluegain also developed with the team, the E-commerce business strategy (cross-functional) for presentation to the Eckes-Granini Group top-management
